F***!a couple of weeks ago, my harddrive crashed containing all my recent work, PLUS all my past work raw files and flats.
it was hard enough to accept, but que sera sera right?
a ray of hope, apparently, as my brother supposedly sent the HD to a service station. yesterday, my brother brought it back home with good news: "All the files are here save for some unrecoverable ones! YAY!"

unfortunately, all the friggin' good fortune isn't what it actually is. Yup, all my files are here... BUT THEY'RE ALL F***ING CORRUPTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T OPEN A FRIGGIN' FILE!!!!!!!!!
I can almost bawl right now.
I thought it was bad enough to have an HD crash on you, but no... it's much more EXCRUCIATING to actually "SEE" the files, and find out a second later that THEY DON'T WORK and you have to DELETE THEM ALL ANYWAY!!!
